LUT 89

The LUT 89 pipe closing press (hereinafter referred to as the press) is a portable tool designed to close gas pipes by pressing in the required place, especially in the event of accidents occurring in the subsurface gas distribution pipeline. During this pressing, the pipe cross-section is closed and then cut using the SPT 1 gas pipe cutter. A manual hydraulic unit reaching a pressure of at least 70 MPa is used as a source of hydraulic fluid, which is supplied on a special order of the customer, including complete interconnection. Pressing is performed using pressurized hydraulic oil from a manual or foot-operated hydraulic unit of the required parameters.

Only pipes made of structural non-alloy steels with a tensile strength of up to 350 MPa and a maximum size of TR ø 89 and a wall thickness of up to 4 mm can be closed with a press.
