The VM 500 AL handling trolley (hereinafter referred to as the trolley) is a device designed for manual transportation of cargo or tools along railway tracks. It is intended mainly for repair teams to transport tools and materials to the site of a breakdown or repair.
The trolley frame is made of a closed aluminum profile, the loading surface is made of an aluminum support plate. The trolleys are equipped with polyamide wheels with a higher load capacity and a manually operated parking brake. The polyamide wheels prevent short circuits between the rails. The handle for pushing the trolleys manually is made of aluminum tube and is removable for transport.

On request, the VM 500 trolley can be supplied, which can be connected to each other using quick-release fasteners to create a set with an area of ​​1620 x 1600 mm with double the load capacity. The load must be evenly distributed so that the load capacity of any one trolley is not exceeded.

The loading area can be equipped with four M8 threaded holes in the corners, into which handling eyes can be screwed. A frame with an attachment that is to be transported on the trolley can be screwed into these holes – e.g. a pressure cylinder carrier, a welding machine, a generator, etc. In this case, the trolley is equipped with a reinforced, removable push handle. On request, a trolley in a detachable version with the designation VMR 500 AL can also be supplied, which can be easily transported in a passenger vehicle.
